The truth about how hypnosis works ...

A news story was released Monday that said while Michael Jackson was under a deep hypnotic trance back in 2000, he claimed he DID NOT touch a child in any inappropriate manner.
Although the story continues to debunk the credibility of Uri Geller, the man who performed the hypnosis, the underlying story still remains -- does this proclamation while under a hypnotic state secure Jackson’s innocence once and for all?

The answer is a simple: NO. “Anyone can lie – or confabulate - under hypnosis. You are always in control. This hypnosis session apparently given by Uri Geller does not prove – or disprove -- Michael Jackson’s innocence.”

While hypnosis, as a valid alternative form of therapy has finally began gaining validity in the mainstream community in recent years, it is stories like these that feed the false and misleading boundaries of the hypnotic practice.

Many people still think of “stage hypnosis” when they here the word – having someone make you strip or cluck like a duck while you have no control over your actions. With clinical hypnosis, YOU ARE ALWAYS IN CONTROL.
No one CAN or WILL make you do anything you don’t want to.
